Comb afro hair properly

When I was a little girl I found combing my hair very painful because my mother didn't know how to comb Afro curls. It became torture for me. Today, thank God, I do it very differently with my little girls. I try to make it as painless as possible so you don't develop a negative bond with your hair. In order for us to have a good relationship with our hair (body, soul and spirit), we must not cause it any pain. For this reason, it is very important to me today that my children develop a good relationship with their hair from an early age.

Untangle knots with your fingers

The best method to untangle knots painlessly is the manual method - with your fingers. In English, this procedure is called the "Finger Detangling" method. To detangle the hair well, divide it into 4-6 sections. Always work with a batch, so you can work through it better. You can easily get the knots untangled with a good oil and a lot of patience. You should take your time, especially with children.

Comb

Before starting, moisten the hair well and then gradually comb it from the tip towards the root of the hair with a curling comb. If you encounter knots while doing this, use your hands to untie it. This is the only way to comb your hair painlessly and not lose so much hair.

Tip:

  • Never comb your hair when it is dry! Always moisten your hair beforehand. Otherwise the hair breaks off and it is also painful. The best way to do this is with your spray bottle and a water-oil mixture
  • Before you start combing your hair, you need a lot of rest and patience. Because without patience it will be painful and you will lose a lot of hair
  • Let kids watch TV to keep them distracted
  • Use oil to get the knots apart well
